Fast Cats’ Program
The MCLF has received a $5,000.00 grant from Barclays Bank to enhance the Fast Cats Program. Volunteers are needed to assist in this program.
Fast Cats’ MissionThe Fast Cats track & field team will enrich, empower,
and support its athletes through physical activities, educational programming, and teamwork.
The Fast Cats track & field team began in 2005 with the ambition to create a structured activity that would interest inner city youth, as well as provide them with the opportunity to belong to a team and set goals for themselves. It has grown to nearly 100 athletes, ages 5-17, and encompasses not only track and field activities but also tutoring, mentoring, financial literacy, and nutritional education.
